Cardiac Arrest

Litigation spills like toxic waste

From the exhausts of the hoards on the ambulance chase

A lifetime of greed packed in a court case

Carry on for our journey to disgrace

So raise the landing gear

There’s no coming down from here

A cynicism with no fear of heights

Laying the blame, staking a claim, taking flight

We’re under cardiac arrest

Right to remain emotionless

There’s no feeling anymore

A new age of mistrust is born

Business lawyers sharpening their get out claws

You hit the stand before you hit floor

More pay, give me more, more, more

(Ignore) That thing beating in your chest

(Ignore) The little voice in the back of your head

(Want more) Play dead and collect your cheque

(Want more) Who cares who’s signing it?

We’re under cardiac arrest

Right to remain emotionless

There’s no feeling anymore

Bankruptcy, apparently, the victimless crime

Redundant lives fall by the wayside

In this prison cell

We isolate ourselves

It’s human to make mistakes

More so to make somebody pay
